Pachyderm is a annual, international, and peer-reviewed journal that deals primarily with matters related to African elephant and African and Asian rhino conservation and management in the wild. It is also a platform for dissemination of information concerning the activities of the African Elephant, the African Rhino, and the Asian Rhino Specialist Groups of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC).

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. ISSN Online: 1683-5018. Images are used with kind permission from the photographer for non-exclusive world rights in the relevant volume, and credited with the photographer's name.
